LUX CRUISES

Vietnam’s First Boutique Cruise Line ™

Celebrating 10 Years of Excellence in Cruise Tourism

Inspired by the legacy of the Vietnamese King of Cruise Ships, Bạch Thái Bưởi, in the early 20th century, our vision for 2045 is to possess a fleet of 30 yachts and cruises. Our goal is to launch expeditions in the Gulf of Tonkin and broaden our presence between Hanoi Capital and Halong Bay, along the Red River and its tributaries, along Vietnam’s coastline, on the Mekong River, and into other Asian countries.

Since 2014, Lux Cruises Group (www.lux-cruises.com) has been a leader in luxury and innovation. Currently, it comprises 6 yachts, cruises, tenders, and speedboats under two brands: Emperor Cruises (www.emperorcruises.com) with a royal concept and Heritage Cruises (www.heritagecruises.com) with a boutique concept. These vessels operate in the most scenic bays and archipelagos of Vietnam, including Halong Bay, Bai Tu Long Bay, Lan Ha Bay (Cat Ba Archipelago), Nha Trang Bay, and soon Saigon River and Phu Quoc Archipelago.

With enchanting, carefree, award-winning, and heartfelt services, Lux Cruises is renowned throughout Vietnam for its artful authenticity, sustainability, and genuine hospitality. In The Most Scenic Rivers, Bays, Archipelagos of Vietnam

Halong Bay

Halong Bay is one of Vietnam’s most stunning attractions – there is no way to describe Halong Bay other than as purely breathtaking. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site and natural wonder of the world, the bay features thousands of limestone islands and cliffs emerging from the turquoise sea.

Halong Bay is understandably popular, but if you want to come here alone without other tourists, be sure to book our private charter boat to sail where you want, cruising on your own itinerary deep into the bay, exploring the caves and grottoes, heading over to Bai Tu Long Bay and Lan Ha Bay, trekking in Cat Ba National Park, rock climbing, kayaking, and watching some of the most amazing sunsets that you’ve ever set eyes on.

Bai Tu Long Bay

Adjacent, smaller and quieter, for many its untouched beauty surpasses that of Halong Bay. Bai Tu Long means ‘the place where the dragon children descended’.

Rich in biodiversity, with a pristine environment and blessed with a marvelous landscape, the bay is dominated by thousands of limestone karsts and islets which rise out of the waters of the bay. It is dotted with floating villages, unspoiled beaches, caves and grottoes and tiny coves where you can hide to unwind and be a Robinson Crusoe for the day.

Most of the islands are uninhabited and are home to delightful flora and fauna and empty, white-sand beaches from which you can go swimming and snorkeling. Cong Do, Tra San, Vung Dang, and Cong Dam are just a few of the places where you can see the most beautiful scenery, kayak through tranquil lagoons and discover the coastal marine ecosystem. Private charter cruises take you deep into Bai Tu Long Bay where mother nature is at her best.

Lan Ha Bay

Lan Ha Bay is situated in the east of Cat Ba Island (Hai Phong City), south of Halong Bay, and has around 400 karst limestone islands surrounded by evergreen charm and vegetation. Geographically and aesthetically, there is no difference between Halong Bay and Lan Ha Bay.

On one hand, Halong Bay is recognized as one of the New Seven Wonders in the world; therefore, it has been opening the door for tourist visitations and tourism development from the very beginning. On the other hand, Lan Ha Bay has kept its pristine beauty, even in the most unique and attractive spots. Thereby, travellers truly enjoy the beautiful scenery and immerse themselves in Lan Ha Bay in the Cat Ba Archipelago, now recognized by UNESCO as World Natural Heritage Site.

Nha Trang Bay

Nha Trang Bay is a premier beach resort with a long sandy beach and many bars, restaurants, and dive shops along Tran Phu Boulevard, with many offshore islands ideal for snorkeling and diving; Van Phong has a long white-sand beach, lagoons, and a deep seaport for industry; and Cam Ranh is an off-limits naval base.

For many years Nha Trang has been a popular holiday destination for both Vietnamese and international travelers, with its 7km of white-sand beach overlooking the bay, perfect for swimming in its quiet, calm waters and taking day trips out to the islands. Now travelers have the opportunity to enjoy an overnight cruise in the bay on a luxurious Emperor Cruises ship.

Ho Chi Minh City

Ho Chi Minh City, once known as Saigon, is a dynamic metropolis where history and modernity converge, creating a rich cultural tapestry. With over 300 years of history, the city along the Saigon River has witnessed significant events shaping Vietnam’s modern era.

Explore its past by visiting landmarks like the Cu Chi Tunnels, which provide insight into the Vietnam War and reunification. For colonial heritage, stroll down Dong Khoi Street to admire the Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office, and Saigon Opera House.

Immerse yourself in local culture at Ben Thanh Market or seek spiritual peace at the Jade Emperor Pagoda. To fully appreciate the city’s blend of old and new, take a luxurious cruise on the Saigon River with Amiral Cruises for Presidents, offering a unique view of this vibrant city.

Phu Quoc Island

Phu Quoc is famous for tourists from all over the country and internationally. This is not only because Phu Quoc is a beautiful island, but it also contains many mysteries waiting for travelers to discover, relax, enjoy, and immerse themselves in nature.

In addition to the strong development of the confirmed resort tourism, Phu Quoc is also an ideal destination for activities to explore nature, exotic seas and islands that can distract visitors. Come to this beautiful island city and cruise artfully to touch the wildness and enjoy every single moment on our Emperor Cruises Phu Quoc.

Sailing the Coast of Vietnam

The marine tourism sector, which is a top priority of the country’s sea economy Master Plan 2030-45, has been struggling to attract investment in cruise harbours and coastal infrastructure to lure globally branded cruise fleets connected with worldwide destinations. Cruise services are one of the key products in building marine tourism as a core part of the ‘blue sea economy’ plan.

The coast of Vietnam is ranked the 33rd in the world. This nation ranks in the top 12 countries for the most beautiful bays in the world including Halong, Lan Ha, Lang Co and Nha Trang. Although Vietnam has 3,260 km of coastline, 125 world- class beautiful beaches, 3000 islands, and 28 coastal cities, it still does not have a cruise ship fleet. Vietnam must have cruise ships along the coast and to carry passengers from Vietnam to other countries.

Making a 67.3 per cent share of the country’s total tourism revenue, a top favourite ocean destination among 156 beach nations, cruise tourism in Vietnam has not been promoted properly so far. The number of cruise tourists accounts for only 2-3% of the total number of international visitors to Vietnam. Lux Group’s Founder and CEO Pham Ha emphasized that it is necessary to attract investors to invest in cruise ships and yachts with Vietnamese nationality that run along the coast. Be the first to cruise along Vietnamese coast in 2025!

What Our Clients Say

Reviews of customers who have toured and used Lux Cruises's services

“An Experience To Remember”

Halong Bay is an idyllic seaside place to watch the sunrise and sunset. Then, wait a while longer, because it’s the blue hour, that twilight time between dusk and darkness when we believe Halong Bay is at its most beautiful.

“Beautiful Memories of Life”

Cruising is all about destinations, experiences, and memories. We had 4 incredible days of expeditions in the Gulf of Tonkin, with amazing facilities both on and off the boat. Especially, the friendly staff shared many interesting stories about this place, its people, and their lives. The food is excellent, and the chef excels in Vietnamese cuisine.

“Great Boutique Cruise in Lan Ha Bay”

An outstanding 5-star boutique cruise in Lan Ha Bay, located in the Cat Ba Archipelago and recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage-listed site. My stay at Heritage Bình Chuẩn was the best of the best in Lan Ha Bay and Vietnam I have experienced so far. The cruise is excellent, artistic, clean, and the staff is wonderful. The attention to detail is what I noticed. I will stay here again with a 3-day, 2-night itinerary next time and recommend it to all luxury travelers.
